It is no secret I specialize in sophisticated, country fêtes. So when the Berkshire Wedding Collective invited Storied Events to the Berkshire Wedding Tour, I rearranged my schedule and ensured I would be present for several days of venue touring and networking with the areas most talented professionals. To thank the Collective would not be enough, as the experience and knowledge I gained of the area during my stay offered the ability to confidently begin to expand our services to the Berkshires. I toured the area with a group of planners from Boston, New York, Newport and Connecticut. We were all very appreciative of the incredible amount time, effort and details we were graciously provided. Visit the Berkshire Wedding Collective – and enjoy the details of our trip – and follow our blog. This is the first post of our Berkshire Wedding series.
Stockbridge, the last exit on the Mass Turnpike before you enter New York is home to the Red Lion Inn – my home for four nights visiting the Berkshires. I highly recommend this historic inn as a “home base”. So many attributes to ensure the wedding party, guests and family are delivered a charming first impression of your wedding weekend. The food and entertainment here are fabulous. I miss their breakfasts already!

Our first night in the Berkshires we were invited to Wheatleigh. Imagine a Florentine palazoo styled, private estate with 22 acres for your wedding. Tiffany windows, rolling hills, century old trees, sculpture gardens, luxury appointed rooms and a European trained staff dedicated to ensuring warm hospitality all combine for an awe inspiring weekend wedding. Bliss. If cuisine is at the top of your list, you will be inspired by the menu and your guests are sure to claim your event is the “best wedding ever”.
